Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Jake F — 17 Mar 2011
I've recently started reading the book and I am nearly done. And I rewatched the movie today. The movie is almost exactly like the book. Sofia Coppola stayed true to nearly every detail described in the book, which is something I've never seen on screen before.
I loved the soundtrack, cinematography, cast. The only things I don't like about it are Mrs. Lisbon the mother (she disgusts me), Josh Hartnett's awful wig, and of course the inevitable unhappy ending.
Fantastic first movie though from one of my favorite directors.
