Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Ty P — 07 Feb 2012
I don't know what to say about his film really, as it was hard to comprehend. If anything it has Sofia Coppola written all over it, fo she has a flat way of telling stories, and leaves alot to the audiences imagination(she displays this once again in Lost in Translation).
Virgin suicides is scary and confusing yet innocent and surreal, displayed more through the body language of the characters than with dialogue. With it's haunting soundtrack by French band Air, VS is one for artists and people alike but only with a bit of patience.
