Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Reynaldo P — 09 Oct 2012
The movie is one of its kind. Even if the title of the movie make its final act seem obvious, you would still not know what you're in store for because of its very unpredictable plot. It is intended that the 'sisters' here are strange and unfamiliar to you all through out the movie because it wants you to kill your self over the mystery of why did they do what they did.
I still can't decide whether I love it or I am at awe to it because it's still pretty unfamiliar to me even after years of seeing it. I think that's what this movie does to whoever sees it.
Kudos to Sofia Coppola for crafting this very enigmatic piece of work.
