Review of The Virgin Suicides (2000) by Brenden B — 24 Nov 2012
Cinematography and directing was beautiful, atmospherically strong and occasionally funny, but the storyline was kind of a blunt knife for me. The final act revealed that it was obviously about the whole sisters, so I'm wondering if it was necessary to place Lux (Kirsten Dunst) as a centralized character with her own complications in the story in the first place.
I get the struggles and things, but I just wonder about that.
