Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Chad J — 03 Jul 2007
One of the most transcendent films you have never seen. Ingmar Bergman is the movie maestro that most Americans fear the most because he actually requires you to meditate on your mortality. "The Virgin Spring" is no exception, but it is a far more moving affair than some of his other, more celebrated cinematic selections ("Persona," "The Seventh Seal").
A must-see.
