Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Lene . — 03 Jan 2008
Only the second Bergman film I've seen, the other being The Seventh Seal. Apparantly this film is based on a ballad, it certainly paced like one. I don' t know if it's a common mood of his films but both films so far felt very bleak, the atmosphere and acting is very dark and foreboding.
I like it. I like it a lot.
