Review of The Villain (1979) by Ken K — 18 Apr 2012
This movie can be described as a live action Looney Tunes cartoon. it is an absolute farce, and beautifully done. With an amazing cast that is led by Kirk Douglas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Ann Margaret.
But you cannot ignore the amazing performances by Jack Elam, Foster Brooks, Mel Tillis, and especially Paul Lynde. The best lines are given by Paul Lynde as Nervous Elk, but the real comic genius comes in the brilliantly done scenes between Tillis (with his stutter) and Schwarzenegger (pre-Terminator with his accent at its thickest).
