Review of The Village (2004) by Javis C — 01 May 2015
I expected a much better movie, seeing this was made by the same guy who made The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, but I was dissapointed in the end. The story is interesting and creepy, until the twist comes.
The twist is quite great, but it destroys the whole movie! The acting is decent, nothing out of the ordinary, and the Shyamalan cameo is nice. The scenery and the directing is great, and appropriately unnerving.
All in all, a decent psychological thriller which would've been much better if the twist either wasn't told, or wasn't there at all.
