Review of The Village (2004) by Amber C — 19 Jun 2011
I know a lot of people were disappointed with this movie, but I can't understand why. When I saw it in the theaters I was deeply upset at one of the big incidents with Noah and Lucius. I then realized if a movie could make me feel like that then it deserves credit.
The end was really interesting and made the story pretty original in my opinion. It wasn't a huge twist or anything, I believe people were just disappointed with the creatures. It needs to be recognized for the fact that this is a rare movie where the woman attempts to save the man, and it is a very endearing love story too.
The interactions between Ivy and Lucius melted my heart at some points, and that's very hard to do. :).
