Review of The Village (2004) by Maxim T — 28 Jul 2014

This is an intelligent piece of film making and the actors are very convincing particularly the female lead actress. I actually preferred this to the Sixth Sense which I also felt was very good. The film is full of creepy moments and is very well shot and there is plenty of suspense. It is a psychological thriller rather than a gory horror and all the better for it. The film plays on what it means to be human and suggests that we might need to be fearful of more than what lurks in.

The shadows. This is a very good film which is seriously underrated.
