Review of The Village (2004) by Ro D — 30 May 2013
Definitely not Shyamalan's best, but a good thriller to keep you thinking. It has a good storyline with a huge twist, but I had to watch it over a couple times to get somewhat of an idea of what they were saying.
He's well known for making us think, but this film makes us think a little too much. However, when you finally figure them out, it's very satisfying. A good thinker, not too scary, great music, an interesting ending, and two great performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Bryce Dallas Howard.
