Review of The Vikings (1958) by James H — 13 Nov 2008
1950s film full of historical inaccuracies, beautiful sunny days (except when ships sailed in which case it was foggy) and with a distinct lack of blood even in very un-1950s violence. Janet Leigh seemed to be there purely as a dumb blonde wearing tight dresses, whilst the men fought over her.
(I'd like to see a remake with the part of Aella played by Alan Rickman).
