Review of The Vicious Kind (2009) by Josh G — 09 Feb 2010
Neil LaBute-ish, but not really. The film undercuts its more interesting character traits by writing behaviors off as reactions to dead parents and bad break-ups. No doubt those things piece a person as much as anything else, but it's unsatisfying, especially when the story is as unfocused as this one is; it is content, instead, to lay its weight on Adam Scott's admittedly strong performance and punchy dialog.
