Review of The Verdict (1982) by Sean B — 18 Mar 2008
Paul Newman. Sidney Lumet. Pinball. Brilliant and simple. Want to see an internal moment of realization perfectly externalized? It's in a scene Newman plays opposite a developing polaroid... and it's brilliant.
Moving, but not manipulative. It's got tremendous heart... without being overly sentimental. Just amazing.
