Review of The Vanishing (1993) by Dan G — 24 Feb 2008
The original director of the Dutch thriller classic went to Hollywood and remade this own movie and made all the mistakes he didn't do the first time. I guess he wanted to take a new approach to his material but what was the point with it actually? Solid cast, good photography and the original's solid premise can't help this movie that now has added an unnecessary extra female element and an ending that is just wrong.
