Review of The U.S. vs. John Lennon (2006) by Brian W — 10 Jan 2007
Fantastic documentary about John Lennon's battle with the U.S. government in the '70s, as they attempted repeatedly to deport him because of his outspoken political views on the Nixon administration.
As a life-long Beatles fanatic and John Lennon admirer, there was very little in this film that I didn't already know, but it presents the (well documented) facts of the case in a conversational, easy-to-digest way that enrages and fascinates viewers at the same time.
Well worth a look for anyone who has more than a passing interest in either Lennon or corrupt politics.
