Review of The Upside of Anger (2005) by Jenna M — 28 Mar 2008
I lack the patience to sit through romantic comedies. But come on, it's Joan Allen as the neurotic reluctant mother of 4 fabulous gals (Alicia Witt, Keri Russell, Erika Christensen and Evan Rachel Wood).
The daughters played their part well. Kevin Costner and Joan Allen could really play as a couple in real life. The focus here is that the pair does not contrive to be the perfect couple, nor the extreme opposite to the oddest pair in the world.
Mike Binder did a great job creating some reality to his characters, and he himself played this womanizing jerk, which adds in to the humour elements. Totally Dysfunctional on the situations they encounter.
Overall it's witty and fun.
