Review of The Upside of Anger (2005) by Mai O — 06 May 2007
A comedy-drama about a woman who has to cope with bringing up her four daughters after her husband leaves home.
Finding things hard she turns to alcahol and soons finds herself falling for her next door neighbour, an ex baseball player who is also into his alcahol.
Among the things she finds herself having to deal with are one of her daughters getting married while another one is dating a guy twice her age.
The Upside Of Anger is a very funnny movie with a very good script by director Mike Binder who also appears in the film.
Joan Allen is one of my favourite actresses and this is another peformance to add to her most memorable ones, Costner also is good.
Evan Rachel Wood and Erica Christensen aslo give stand out performances as the younger of the daughters.
Very funny and affecting film so check it out.
