Review of The Untouchables (1987) by Jure D — 10 Jan 2010
Kostners's performance is quite poor and unconvincing, in my opinion due to the overemphasis on the "boyscout" image of Ness.
The directing is also found lacking when certain parts of the movie are streched out needlesly.
The one thing that saves this movie is De Niro's performance which trully shines. Shame that we don't get to see more of him in this movie.
