Review of The Untouchables (1987) by Steven S — 09 May 2010
This movie is terrible. The soundtrack is embarrassingly bad. The acting is uninspired, particularly from Costner. While the characters are real, the story is completely fabricated. Why would you take a real-life gangster and make a fake story? And a fake story that's bad? Importing Canadian whiskey, what a joke! All the action scenes were bad, but the final shootout in the train station with the baby carriage was so convoluted it was funny. With such a high rating in IMDb, I was really expecting something better. People didn't like Public Enemies, but that was way better than this.
Oh my god, Connery won on Oscar for this?? What a joke!
