Review of The Untouchables (1987) by Rico F — 06 Jan 2014
There are few films with such a star studded line-up where each of them actually perform to the best of their abilities. Nowadays movies like 'Expendables' just want to throw the big names together without giving them a script that highlights their acting ability.
The Untouchables is not one of those movies. Starring a young Kevin Costner who shines throughout and clearly suits the clean-cut and slick law enforcement role in his younger days. Andy Garcia also is in his early acting days and he doesn't disappoint.
Robert De Niro does what Robert De Niro does best. Although it would have been good to have seen him involved in more scenes as he pulled of the role of Al Capone to perfection. Sean Connery was his silky smooth operator status quo.
Definitely a good watch.
