It's the 1920s and Chicago is rife with corruption, from those who enforce the law and those who are obliged to abide. FBI agent Eliott Ness (Kevin Costner) aims to bring down Al Capone (Robert De Niro) but in order to that he assembles a team out of a people he can trust.

Obviously it's easier said than done to arrest a man who many see to be untouchable and avert the pressure and threats thrown at them. Therefore Ness and his team must themselves become untouchable.

This film is stylishly shot by Brian De Palma, with great great performances by the cast, also consisting of Sir Sean Connery, Charles Martin Smith and Andy Garcia. I'm surprised by the stick Costner gets as an actor, because in this film he does give a good performance only surpassed by Connery.

The film is full of violence yet has some humor in it some times unintentional, as for the scene with the baby on the steps. What got to me was the music used in the film, it seemed kind of out of place.

The music would sometimes drain some of the speech on screen which was really irritating. That said, this is a great film which is surprisingly fun although set at a time when Chicago was at war.
