Review of The Unnamable (1988) by Brian C — 20 Jan 2017
There is just so much to love about The Unnamable. This is a true Lovecraft adaptation, and in the vein of The Re-animator has great dark humour. The creature (Alyda) is fantastically realized. And of course we can't forget the best character of them all...the wonderfully over-the-top Randolph Carter.
While this movie appears to be a typical creature slasher, it is so much more. There is a lot of Lovecraftian lore here, and it is done quite sincerely.
Definitely to be seen.
