Review of The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) by Adam C — 05 Dec 2008
I really liked this movie. I got very caught up in the passing moments and the flow of the lives of the two main characters. To me, this movie was about how life decisions are made in small moments and actions, how their repercussions can be huge, and how little we think about their repercussions.
At the same time, there are the external events in the world and the uncontrollable randomness that guide one's life path as well. Anyways, I can't really express exactly what I got out of this movie, as I am not terribly eloquent, but I felt like this movie had some impact on the way I view my life, and that is a lot to get out of three hours of sitting on one's couch.
