Review of The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) by Andrew M — 18 Jul 2010
An absorbing look into the lives of 3 Czech refugees in the midst of political turmoil when the Soviet Union invades their country. Also, not only having to struggle with the Soviet occupation of their home, the characters are forced into a complex love-triangle that forces each of them to question their sexual identity and their actions of infidelity.
A complex, moving, passionate art-house masterpeice from Philip Kaufman and sure to rest in the minds of those who have seen it and those who have yet to.
