Review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) by Danielle L — 25 Mar 2014
A terrible work of cinema created from a terrible work of literature. The plot in this film was so boring it would send an insomniac into a deep slumber. Nothing interesting happens throughout the entirety of the plot besides a scene where Bella attempts to commit suicide but comes to a disappointing conclusion when we discover she survived.
The characters are so uninteresting and poorly developed that its hard to feel anything for them at all, and not to mention the very amateur acting making it even more difficult. From my understanding this film/book series is supposed to be based on teenage romance, this is difficult to comprehend as Bella and Edward have as much chemistry on screen as two wooden chairs stacked on top of each other.
Eventually the nightmare comes to an end and this awful film concludes with the single most disappointing, unsatisfying, predictable, cliche endings of any film I have ever watched, leaving you with no interest to see the sequel.
In conclusion this is nothing original or unique but a marketing machine with the sole purpose of generating money. I believe the entire Twilight series is nothing but a coffee stain on the bright white designer shirt that is vampire film.
It should be exiled to a far away galaxy, along with its author where they can never harm the good name of the art of storytelling again.
