Review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) by Adam S — 19 Dec 2014
"New Moon" is the second film in the Twilight Saga, and it continues the push-pull relationship between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson). In this film, it look as though Bella and Edward might be on the outs, and this provides an opportunity for the vulpine Jacob (Taylor Lautner) to make his move.
The trouble for the viewer, however, is that the film doesn't really sell the move toward Jacob or make us believe that she's really going to leave Edward for Jacob. The film ends on a very conventional note sold as drama.
Odd.
