Review of The Tuxedo (2002) by Bel B — 10 May 2008
Finally got around to checking this Jackie Chan movie. If the directors were trying to make Jennifer Love Hewitt look like the most jaded pill on the face of the Earth, then they pretty much succeeded.
The movie is what you'd expect out of most typical Jackie Chan fare - plenty of action scenes, sinister diabolical plot to ruin everyone, and Jackie being Jackie. Even taking the usual liberties with reality aside, this movie's plot is a bit disjointed and hard to believe at some points. I'm a little disappointed they didn't flesh out Jackie's character's driving skills more as well. Some bonus points for Kevin Nealon and James Brown cameos, but it's not his best work by far.
