A dreadful rom"com", written by a woman, and no doubt targeted at insecure women. It is based on the absurd conceit that Janeane Garofalo is ugly next to Uma Thurman - quite the reverse! The idiotic plot steals from the classic Cyrano de Bergerac, and twists it into something rather awful.

Go watch Roxanne instead. The "romantic" phone sex scene is just plain-creepy, and one of the ending scenes is risible for resembling a certain advert... As for the "it's all about the personality" message, just imagine how well this movie would work with Kathy Bates in the lead role!
