Review of The Truman Show (1998) by Mulham N — 01 Sep 2016

While not the highest rated or well understood when it premiered back in 1998, it has grown with time and has become an eclectic version of Jim Carey in a well thought out plot with emotionally binding undertones, to add to such a remarkable career.

When the movie was released, "reality tv" was in its infancy (excluding "cops") that when something of this magnitude arrived, people kind of shrugged it off... Well all these years later, it's matured like a fine wine or almost similar to an award winning Broadway play.

I do hope this movie doesn't get the" remake" treatment considering "reality tv" is kind of on its way out in alot of respects. It is a masterpiece of art, drama and superb acting.

.. I'd give it a 100% for sure considering its lack of style/competition in the cinematic arena. A one of a kind with deep questions on the surface...
