While the image of Ronald Reagan killing hippies with an axe is funny - the movie isn't. Our protagonists do enough drugs to kill a hippopotamus. What would Nancy say? Political and environmental issues are addressed as quickly as they're dropped.
Worst of all, the makeup effects are dogshit. This plays like a flick David Arquette and his friends (wife Courteney Cox; brother-in-law Thomas Jane) made for fun on weekends. They look as though they're having a good time.
Too bad I didn't.
