Its a little cheesy and kinda silly, but the best word to describe it would be goofy. Horror-comedies are the hardest movies to do well, but Arquette does a decent job. The whole red state versus blue state thread is hardly profound but adds an extra level of humour.
Its hard to say anything bad about a movie that doesnt take itself seriously. Good goofy fun for conservative and liberal slasher fans alike.
