Review of The Trip (2011) by John A — 25 Mar 2012
Through committed portrayals of sometimes annoying characters, Coogan and Brydon succeed at both skewering the celebrity images that have grown up around them, while managing to poke fun at themselves.
The comedy is always amusing, and at times laugh out loud funny. Winterbottom seems to try a bit too hard for moments of significance, but the use of montage, especially in the end, offers a poignant close to a thoroughly enjoyable comedy.
