Review of The Trip (2011) by Zachary B — 08 May 2012
Brits always seem to do art better then we Americans, and comedy is no different. The two main characters play themselves, famous British comedians Steve Cogan and Rob Brydon. Steve's a world famous bachelor, while Rob is a married British star not much known else where in the world.
This main dynamic, this Odd Couple-esque set up, makes the picturesque journey through a restaurant tour through northern Britain oddly fascinating, and very funny. While some of the references and amazing impression flew over my head, since I'm not British, the journey seemed both amazingly funny and bit dramatic.
A must see for anyone who enjoys British humor, movies, television shows.
