Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Zach E — 02 Dec 2012
Extraordinary piece of visual storytelling with a powerful, gripping, and mesmerizing story, this film is a pure masterpiece. An amazing, epic achievement of modern filmmaking to say the least. The best, most creative cinematography I have ever seen on film which without it would failed in its presentation about life, its lessons, and the reality of death.
This film rates up with the Lord of the Rings and Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and maybe even exceeds them. The Tree of Life is a different film of course but it's visual beauty, powerful story, and careful cinematography make this unique film one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
