Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Matthew A — 05 Apr 2013
Visually stunning and deeply moving. Seeing the childhood of our shy protagonist through Malick's lens felt magical because this is a man who's constantly fascinated by the smallest nuances of life.
The mammoth film tries to cover the entire scope of the human experience and it does a damn good job of it too. The Tree of Life is a poetic look at the miracle of life. Yet no description is possible, any serious cinephile should experience this film.
