Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Marijus P — 10 Nov 2013
The Tree of Life is one of those movies which is sometimes hard to understand but interesting nontheless. It's like a 2 hour meditation, therapy of beautiful visuals, places and the added story, which is not really hard to follow, but some of the scenary decisions are quite weird, even though in someways they are all connected.
The film has plenty of extended shots, so plenty of time to think about the metaphors which are shown. Overall, i'm impressed with this movie, it is different in many ways than the other films, and should be watched for those who like to think in between the scenes, who likes to search for a meaning.
