Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Matt C — 10 Feb 2016

In many ways a flawed masterpiece, it's too long, it's too slow, it's too confusing at times, it goes off on weird existential tangents, I wanted to hate it, I really did...except a flawed masterpiece is still at the end of the day, a masterpiece.

It's also beautiful, frequently moving and really captivating. In many ways I loved it despite myself.
