I enjoyed this movie, the excellent storytelling, the thrilling moments, the dark comedy. What shines here are the actors, especially Bogart. As a character, his descent is so chilling you pity him as you are repulsed.
While the message is old (greed can consume), it is so perfectly shown that it becomes new.
