Review of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) by Ibraheem M — 29 Sep 2013
An American masterpiece from Huston. While the Academy Award went to Huston's father the most memorable performance is from Bogart as Fred C. Dobbs a man who goes from trustworthy hobo to a greedy, murderous man.
The brilliance is the dark humor and irony in that real treasure might be found in other places besides monetary value.
