Review of The Transporter (2002) by Dan B — 22 Dec 2010
One of the best action films of recent times, with excellent stunts and fight scenes. In particular, watch out for the "Oil/bike pedals" fight scene (My favourite bit).
Statham fights from the Jackie Chan/Jason Bourne school of martial arts; utilising whatever comes to hand, including his own jumper at one point.
The acting and script is fairly bland, but there it's competantly done, and there are touches of comedy scattered throughout.
I would recommend this to any chop-socky / driving film fan.
MUCH better than "The fast and the furious" for instance.
