Review of The Transformers: The Movie (1986) by Sheldon J — 04 Feb 2009

A classic animated cartoon movie. The good is that they were not afraid to kill off characters and follow a good story line. A lot of cartoons today could learn from this, including newer Transformers cartoons.

The bad is that this movie kind of signaled the downturn in the Transfomer universe, the seasons following this movie were just not as good. Also despite having a decent story this movie like every season of the cartoon shows its influence toward selling toys and that always is done at the cost of making the show as good as it could be.
