Review of The Train Robbers (1973) by David M — 27 Apr 2010
A lot of The Duke's movies had the same plot, same costumes, same actors and actresses and probably the same horses. This one was no different. Other than the obviousness that this is a John Wayne western, the simple fact is that a young Ann-Margaret stole the show in this one.
I'm willing to bet my next paycheck she got a rise out of all these cowpokes. Hell, she's nearly 70 now and she still gives me a rise. A fun western, not all that strong and very, very predictable.
..like most of The Duke's movies, but a good movie to watch if you're in the mood for an old-school western.
