They could have cooled it quite a bit with the whole multiple frames gimmick and it still would have worked. It might have even worked better. I wonder if this film was as harrowing for Ellen Page to make as it was for her character in the story.
She just looked so convincingly miserable the whole time, and rightly so, since her character has a shit time of it.
