As cold as a Canadian winter - Ellen Page pulls off another amazing performance as a 15-year old run away. McDonald uses a bold technique that is both maddening and fascinating - it's his technique and Page's performance that take what could have been an awfully angry/punk Lifetime style movie and push it into new emotional territory.
