Review of The Tracey Fragments (2007) by Matthäus F — 20 May 2008
There's nothing quite as uplifting as a film about mental illness -- from the inside. Seriously, though, Ellen Page is excellent in this film about Tracey's psychological disintegration. The film uses some hokey techniques to good effect, although the Lacanian psychoanalysis theme is pushed a bit hard with all the mirrors and horses.
But the film really does rise above all of that.
