Review of The Tracey Fragments (2007) by Claire B — 26 Jul 2008
Practically unwatchable. The direction in which it moves is indeed original (told entirely in simultaneously active and moving split frames). But the story is highly predictable and flat. It feels like a Lifetime movie about a "troubled teenage girl who rebels against her parents and they simply can't figure out what to do with her.
" Page is, as usual, quite stunning, but the film is a challenge to get through. We made it most of the way, but we developed headaches and nausea due to the directing style, however inventive.
