Review of The Tracey Fragments (2007) by Andres G — 21 Oct 2009
I liked the concept of the film of presenting a fractured mind by way of editing techniques. Ellen Page did carry this film and she gave an ok performance. I thought that the storyline was a bit cliche and definitely unbelievable at points.
It seemed like everything that could go wrong in a teen's life happened to her. While she has a clear goal, it just seemed as if each new move was a bit undignified. While I did like the editing and how it presented her fractured mind, I think the story could have benefited from telling it in a linear fashion.
The story is cliched, but it would have made more sense. Overall, it's not too good of a movie, but definitely not a stinker. Another interesting experiment! RENTAL.
