Review of The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014) by John K — 14 Nov 2014
Visually impressive and it sets a really interesting/strange tone from the get-go. The problem is the script's lack of originality and the fallback on cliches that persist throughout the film. The killer's identity/motivation feel shoe-horned in, while a number of unfortunate horror tropes crop up throughout the film, keeping it from standing out in any significant way.
