Review of The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014) by Lovro H — 14 Feb 2015
After finding out this was directed by one of the American Horror Story directors, I got interested and saw the movie. Well, it wasn't really that good. It starts of very intriguing, but after around an hour of the movie's runtime, you either already figure out who the killer is, or you just stop caring.
The characters are okay, for half of them you won't care at all, while for some you might, but every character besides the main, is given very little screen time and they're not really well crafted.
On the positive side, though, the direction is great and the soundtrack really fits the atmosphere and can sometimes be quite unnerving. Acting is nothing out of the ordinary. There are some really good actors in this movie, but again, they're not given a lot of screen time.
All in all, a very average slasher thriller which has an interesting premise but fails to execute it in the right way.
